New York allows daredevil Niagara Falls tightrope walk

On this date in 1859, the daredevil, "The Great Blondin" crossed Niagara Falls on a tightrope for the first time. Fast forward to 2011, New York lawmakers on Wednesday gave final approval to a bid by daredevil Nik Wallenda to cross Niagara Falls on a tightrope.
